Introduction
About the role

We're seeking a hands-on Supervisor to oversee our butchery department in our central kitchen. As a Butcher Supervisor, you will be leading, training and overseeing the meat department. This team break-downs, portions and trims meat from larger, wholesale cuts of meat into portions prepared for meal kits. This position requires experience in a high volume production kitchen and the ability to train and work in a team environment.

• Lead and train team in butchery
• Knife maintenance (sharpening, adjustments etc.) and proper maintenance of all meat related equipment (grinders and cutting equipment)
• Receive, inspect and proper storage of all meat products
• Weigh, wrap, tie and display meat and meat bi-products
• Cut and prepare meat to guidelines, recipes and/or customer and recipe specifics (debone, grind, portion)
• Observe and conduct all HACCP procedures, safety and sanitation regulations
• Starting rate: $29/hr

The experience you have

• 3 years of previous butcher and management experience in a large production kitchen environment
• Strong leadership experience with demonstrated teamwork skills and abilities
• High attention to detail
